Rising Rock Artist, Matt Sassano, is changing the game with his rousing performances and thought-provoking lyrics that deliver an intensely relatable story of overcoming.  

 

Matt joined forces with producer Josiah Prince, (Disciple) to create Matt's newest EP, "In Defiance", and exploded on the scene in 2021 playing over 300 shows in over 40 states.  

 

Being born with two very challenging disabilities (Cerebral Palsy and Dyscalculia)  gives Matt a unique voice within the music industry.  His primary goal is to empower those with a range of issues from disabilities to domestic abuse and mental health crisis.  His first break out single to make waves was "Not My Name". An anthem for underdogs struggling through disabilities, labels and stigma.  "Not My Name" spent 16 weeks at #1 on the CMW (Christian Music Weekly) Rock Chart and set the tone for the uniquely transparent and raw lyrical content within his discography.   Matt's follow up single, "Dear God" doubled down on those expectations.  The song spoke on the stark reality of battling with your faith in the midst of trials and unanswered cries to God. "Dear God" went on and spent 8 weeks at #1 on the CMW charts and further gave Matt a solid voice within the music scene.

"It's always been my goal to create transparent music that opens up conversations and makes people feel less alone", Matt explains.

In October 2023, Matt released "Fuel".  Reuniting with producer Josiah Prince at the Ranch Studio, in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

"'Fuel' is my personal Thank You to every person and adversity that set out to "destroy" me but ultimately made me stronger," Matt recants.

 

"Fuel" has spent 12 weeks at #1 on the CMW charts, 10 weeks as #1 on Christianrock.net, and continues to chronicle a dynamic story of never giving up.

 

Streaming now and coming  mid-2024, Matt's single "Happy Family" has been released  and #2 on national radio while offering domestic abuse victims resources for help. Matt continues to travel to various festivals, events, churches, schools, clubs, and maximum security prisons with one sentiment strongly echoes with each presentation: "YOU ARE NOT ALONE."
