The sound, the flashing lights, the pure adrenaline of being front and center as bands pour their souls out on stage right there for you to experience. There really is NOTHING like attending a music festival! As a kid I remember going to festivals like "Kingdom Bound" and "Vans Warped Tour" year after year. These festivals were not only places where my love for music came from but also long lasting friendships were formed. In an age where music can be streamed at the simple push of a button I really hope that kids today still get to experience that NOTHING beats the rush of seeing a band in real time and feeling the band with a room or tent full of music fans. One of the things I really enjoy about being the type of artist I am is getting to perform for a variety of audiences from all walks of life. I guess I am what they call an Alternative EDM artist but am often paired up with rock bands as well; which is not typical. I think my eclectic music style has made me a bit of an anomaly. I've taken the stage with hip hop artists like, Alexander King and Bubba Sparxxx. I have also been included on Rock tours like my upcoming tour with GFM and As We Are.
I am very excited to be on the bill this year for yet another unique musical experience at Capstone Music Festival. This will be held on June 26 through the 28th, 2020, at Buck Lake Ranch, in Angola, Indiana. A Christian music festival focusing on God, Family and being a light to both "fringe" and mainstream culture. It is set to have 60 bands on 3 stages.
To name a few of them: "As Lions and Lambs", "As We Are", "Autumn's Descent", "Becoming Sons", "The Bricks", "Brotality", "Collapse//Revive", "The Cane", "Creek Tragic", "Crossover", "Dustybonez". "Firebrand", "Gnashing of Teeth", "I Am Heir", "I am the Pendragon", "The Lastrumpet", "Our Last Trial", "Reclaim the Day", "Relesser", "We Are Victory", and of course me, "Matt Sassano".
As someone who has met or talked to many of these bands I can say that I love their dedication to bringing not only hard hitting, passionate music, but also a message of hope and redemption. This has largely been lost in much of todays music. There will also be a variety of special speakers at the festival that will encourage and challenge your faith. If you don't have plans June 26-28th come to Capstone Music Festival. If you do have plans June 26-28th cancel them, fake your own death....do whatever you gotta do to attend Capstone Festival. It will not only be an energy filled place with lots of loud music but it might just be a life changing event for you and your whole family.
I can't wait to meet you there!!! Matt
